After you read this short article you'll hear about how I stumbled upon a unique discovery called the Hot Zone Cycle that helped my 31 year old sister radically shrink her belly in just a few short weeks.

She couldn't believe that she'd been so naive as to jiggle her flabby belly backwards and forwards in front of a bunch of strangers!
She wanted a hole to open up in the ground and swallow her up.
She Was Disgusted With Herself And Knew That Her Belly Fat Was Stopping Her From Being Happy
Frankly, it was one hell of a wake up call for my sister.
But the bizarre thing was that although this photo made Sarah cringe, it was also the trigger to an incredible transformation.
She knew that she couldn't carry on down this path of shoddy food and fat gain.
The thing is, she had tried all kinds of popular diet programs like Weight Watchers and Slimmers World, but they just didn't do the job and left her feeling disappointed.
She'd complain about always being hungry and have to fight the urge to eat because these programs were always about restricting your diet and counting calories...which she hated!
Sarah felt like she was drowning and was desperate to get out.
And that's when she turned to me for help...

Listen, it was awful to hear my little sister in an emotional mess.
Of course I wanted to help her lose weight, but above all I wanted to see her happy and enjoying life again.
In a bid to help my sister tighten and tone her her belly once and for al,l I got my research hat on and buried myself in fat loss science.
Fun times, I know!
I wanted to find a strategy that was so effective, Sarah would not only have a tight and toned stomach, but could get back to enjoying her life and stop feeling embarrassed by her body.
The only problem...
There were hundreds of studies!
One study would talk about calorie control, another would talk about mindset and then another would talk about hormonal changes.
The list went on and on.
However, after digging a little further I stumbled upon a relatively unknown study performed in 2013 in Linköping, Sweden.
Researchers Fernemark and Jaredsson wanted to understand the effect particular diets have on blood sugar and insulin.
The study examined the effects of three different diets in 19 subjects.
The caloric intake in the three diets examined was the same, but the diets differed in the following manner:
- A conventional low-fat diet (45-56% carbs)
- A Mediterranean diet with coffee only for breakfast (similar to intermittent fasting) and a big lunch (32-35% carbs)
- A moderate low-carbohydrate diet (16-24% carbs)
All participants tested the three diets, one diet each day in randomized order.
The results of this study got me very excited!
The researchers reported that the low carb approach produced the best results in terms of reducing blood sugar and insulin, which is nothing new, but the group that skipped breakfast also showed positive benefits and this got me thinking...
What would happen if I combined these two approaches? Could this create even faster fat loss.
And what would happen if I added exercise alongside these two approaches...extreme fat loss?
It was a crazy idea, but something told me it was worth a try.
I asked my sister if she was willing to give an 'extreme' fat loss plan a try over the next few weeks.
Guess what? She was more than happy to be a guinea-pig!
At first, I couldn’t believe it.
I said to Sarah “Really? 17 pounds?”
She said with excitement “Yeah, 17 pounds!”
Then I said again “Really? 17 pounds?!”

"Slow And Steady Wins The Race..."
There’s a bizarre notion that losing 1-2 pounds a week amongst many health professionals is good progress.
Losing 1-2 pounds a week is all very well, but it’s very slow progress AND frustrating if you’re spending hours in a gym or dieting.
In my experience “slow and steady” often gives up.
In a recent study published in the Journal of Human Nutrition they found that those who lost their excess fat slowly when starting a diet or fitness program would give up before those who had faster results.
And in my experience losing a large amount of fat in those first few weeks of starting a fitness and diet program does your willpower and confidence the World of good.
Seeing the inches drop off and being able to fit into an old pair of jeans is an amazing feeling and it encourages you to stick with it long-term.
Personally, I think the results in those first few weeks have really got to excite you.
Th problem with the “1-2 pounds a week” notion that many health professionals kick around is that it’s based on poor methods.
Listen, there's a far quicker way to lose fat and transform your body than the usual eating low fat foods doing endless amounts of slow boring cardio.
It drives me crazy when I see people following this lame advice and struggling with their weight loss.
Let’s be honest, if you’re several pounds overweight then you can certainly lose more than 1-2 pounds per week...

Fat Loss Mistake #2
"Slow Go Cardio"
If the cardio route produced fantastic results we would probably overlook the sheer boredom of it all.
Unfortunately, that’s not the case...
You see, exercising on some medieval torture contraption isn’t the best way to lose fat.
I get so frustrated when I see people plodding along in a bid to banish their wobbly bits.
Let me be straight with you.
If you LOVE doing traditional cardio and it makes you feel good, by all means keep it going.
I’m not going take that away from you.
BUT if you want to burn as much fat as possible, read on...
In a study published in the Journal of Sports Medicine and Physical Fitness (Vol. 52(3):255-62), sixty overweight young women were separated into three groups.
- Group 1 did short high intensity workouts (similar to the workouts my sister did)
- Group 2 did moderate intensity continuous workouts (traditional cardio)
- Group 3 was a non-training control group.
Groups 1 & 2 trained five days per week for 12 weeks.
The researchers concluded that the workout style that my sister used produced far better results than those in the slow cardio group.
Tradtional cardio strikes out again.
This is not the only study to prove that traditional cardio isn't effective at burning fat either.
I could rattle off several more, but chances are you already know this.
You've probably tried to burn fat before by hopping on a treadmill and jogging for 30-40 minutes or at least until you're completely bored and give up.
So, once again let me tell you...
There is a far more effective way of burning fat that you can use to melt away a huge amount of fat in just a few short weeks.

Fat Loss Mistake #3
"If Only I Had More Time..."
Most people I speak to struggle to lose weight because they haven't got enough TIME.
I’ve got a family and I know how tricky things can be when you’re trying to juggle the kids, work and other social engagements.
So, yes – TIME is a BIG problem.
I’ve been there.
Getting to the gym and then back home can be a mission in itself. Even a quick gym workout can take you the best part of an hour-and-a-half when you factor in travel, changing and showering.
And this is a common mistake people make…
You see, most people seem to think that you’ve got to join a fancy gym and spend hours there to burn fat when that’s not the case at all.
It’s no surprise that you can’t find the time to exercise when it involves marathon workout sessions and trekking off to the gym every day. Especially, if you’re busy with family or work.
Let’s be honest, your marathon fat loss workouts are the first thing to go out of the window when you’re busy.
So let me be straight with you…
You can get better results with less time.
You don’t need marathon workout sessions or even a gym to get in the best shape of your life.
You can exercise from the comfort of your own home with zero equipment wearing whatever you want to.
I mean, you didn’t really think I sent my sister off to a fancy gym everyday did you?
Oh-no…that would have never worked.
1) 5-Day Diet Plan
Without getting too techy, the hot zone cycle allows you to eat whatever you want every 5th day while still burning through your fat rapidly.
Yep, even ice-cream…my sisters favorite!
You, see if you’re going to burn a lot of fat you’ve got to get your hormones to play ball, there’s no two ways about it!
And to get your hormones well and truly firing on all cylinders, so that your body can burn through fat with speed, I created a 5 day fat loss cycle.
At the time, little did I know that this simple 5 day cycle would produce such incredible results.
Use this 5 day cycle and you’ll be in what I call the "hot zone".
And since we simply repeat this 5 day cycle, let’s just call it the “Hot Zone Cycle“…it’s got a nice ring to it.
So, during the Hot Zone Cycle you’ll use a not one, but two extremely rapid fat loss techniques and a strategic ‘cheat’ day in a very specific sequence to help spike your fat loss hormones and skyrocket your metabolism, all whilst overpowering your fat storage hormones.
Now, if you’ve ever been on a crash diet you’ll know that the results can come quickly, but they soon slow down dramatically and, more often than not, you give up shortly afterwards.
The Hot Zone Cycle solves these problems by keeping your metabolism and fat loss elevated for several days at a time.
How does it do this?
Well, let me explain…
There are three big players in the hormone World and you’ve got to get these guys on side if you want to send your excess fat packing.
These hormones are known as : insulin, human growth hormone and leptin.
Insulin is your storage hormone and in order to lose the jelly from your belly quickly we need to keep this hormone fairly low, which is why we use methods such as intermittent fasting and carb cycling.
If you eat lots of sugar, wheat and other processed foods your insulin and blood sugar levels are mostly likely through the roof, making it double difficult to burn any fat.
The relationship between human growth hormone and insulin is a little fragile.
They don’t particularly like each other and are a little like yin and yang.
The Hot Zone Cycle reduces your insulin and when this happens your human growth hormone does a happy dance.
This then sets you up for maximum fat loss.
However, your body can only keep this up for 5-7 days and in order to stay on track with this elevated level of fat loss we use a strategic ‘cheat’ day.
Which leads me nicely on to the next strategy...
2) Eat Your Fave Foods
People often slash their calories or carbs in a bid to kick-start their fat loss.
But if you do this for more than a few days at a time our buddy ‘Larry Leptin’ kicks up a fuss.
Larry won’t take that lying down.
He’ll throw a tantrum and bring your metabolism to a crawl.
So, to keep to keep Larry happy you should bump up the calories and carbs with a strategic cheat day.
During this ‘cheat’ day you can eat whatever you want.
Let me repeat that again…
YOU CAN EAT WHATEVER YOU WANT.
That includes ice-cream, pizza and even chocolate.
A study in the Journal Metabolism found that enjoying your favorite foods in this “interval” style can actually boost your metabolism.
That’s what we call keeping Larry happy!
Another important thing I should mention about the ‘cheat’ day is that it means you can stick with the plan just like my sister did.
Not only does it reset your metabolism, it resets your mind!
And in my experience if you tell people to cut out all their favorite foods for weeks on end, they give up sharpish.
It’s too much, too soon.
The way I structured my sisters diet was to have a cheat day every fifth day, which allowed her to burn through excess fat lightning fast without her metabolism slowing down.
Plus, it's always nice to eat whatever you want AND know that it's helping you burn even more fat!
Now, there’s no doubt in my mind that my Hot Zone Cycle played a critical role in Sarah’s incredible transformation.
She wouldn't have been truly in the "hot zone" without the following strategies being part of the plan as well…
3) Skyrocket Your Metabolism
Let me tell you something...
If you want to look good in your clothes, you can go on a diet and lose weight. But...
If you want a radical change AND want to look good naked, you've gotta do some exercise.
And the good news...
You can skyrocket your metabolism by using simple bodyweight exercises that you can do in the comfort of your own home.
You can do these exercises in your jammies or completely naked if you prefer (I really don’t mind).
So, instead of hopping on a dreadmill what you need do is combine cardio and resistance training in a way that gives your metabolism a giant kick up the backside.
Put another way, you want to give your metabolism some rocket juice, so that it can burn more calories while you sit on the couch watching the next episode of Game Of Thrones.
Well, you’ve up your intensity level to take advantage of this metabolic shift.
Let me try and give you a better understanding.
In 2008 a study published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research looked at a the combination of sprinting and resistance training.
You wanna know what happened?
The participants doing the combo of sprints and resistance work lost 10 times more fat mass than those who either did only cardio or only resistance training.
I don’t know about you, but that sounds a lot more effective and something you should definitely be taking advantage of.
